He nailed it,and also it's cheaper and less of a hassle than running back and forth for feeder fish.In the warmer months I use minnows,which fish do you have as feeders over there besides goldfish?frnchjeep;4326732; said:Mostly for health reasons. I don't know about over there, but here our store bought feeders are terrible. They are kept in horrible conditions, are usually diseased, and usually die shortly after purchase. Most die before they are quarantined for long enough. I don't feel like setting up a breeding project for feeders either. I also like that I can feed the whole tank with one kind of food at a time.
