got my brokopondo =/

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
True, shipping is always a risk. I have shipped fish myself, and received many fish over the years, from places as far away as Brazil and Peru, mostly wild Discus. I have had entire shipments arrive smelly and DOA in wet, soggy boxes. I would think in your case though, the summer heat is likely what killed the fish. Best of luck in getting your replacement fish.

Sorry for you loss. What i like to do is have the package delivered to a UPS/FEDEX center where they hold it for me for pick up. that way, its not on a hot/cold truck. It also ensures I get the fish asap and its not taking a tour of my city.

great idea ado124. To OP sorry about your loss! There is no worse feeling!

No worries Jeremy. You'll have another fish next week.

Sorry again for rough handling of fish in transit.
Overall, UPS has been by far my preferred carrier for domestic deliveries. This was a very isolated event.

I've shipped the same fish all over the country plus large quantity lots to Japan and Philippines in past weeks with 100% excellent arrival condition.
Just takes one guy to pretend he's on the Netherlands soccer team with the box and you see what happens...

See any you like ;)

Sorry 'bout the loss bro. UPS is a lot better than USPS though ime. God knows what they did to my fish.

Damn Jeff, so tempted to drop some of my grad money I just received. Any of them pushing close to 5-6" yet?

wow jeff :), thanks again for working with me thru this, even though u did everything above and beyond to make sure the fish was packaged safely. hell i even think you would ride along with each fish just to make sure they make it to their new homes! lol next time you come down here come by and i'll have a nice cup of cuban coffee with you.

any of these boys will be awesome :naughty::naughty:
