This is BS ! I will never buy from them or recommend them to anyone. Way to throw the s*** back and cancel payment. Best of luck man I have been rooting for you all along. Follow through now and alert the better business bureau ASAP. Best of luck man.

Did you send the other one back and have to pay for it ?

I also had problems with Tenecor. Getting a new tank should be an enjoyable experience.....mine was anything but. I can assure all of you that I would NEVER buy another tank from Tenecor. I work about half a mile away from TruVu and would purchase from them.

Everyone don't get their panties in a bunch. I recommend to just take a breath and a step back before you speak to Tenecor. They are already making you a new tank and admited that it was their fault, and they are making it right for you.

Yes they built me a new tank and let me keep the old one. Originally they were going to have the defective one shipped back, but the difference for me is my location. I live in Hawaii, and after eating a 750g tank I didn't think they wanted to pay for shipping a tank that large back.

I just played it cool with the thought I may have to send it back OR maybe they may just let me keep it. They told me the same thing that they were going to expedite it.
Then when I recieved the new tank I asked them what was the plan with the old tank. I was then told I could keep it.

prepare the bunched panties

Just wondering if they gave you a reson as to why they have yet to provide you with a replacement? My acrylic tank maker states 6-8 weeks from order to delivery. I would consider that reasonable for a small (but reliable) company to produce and ship one-offs.
Tenecor is a much larger company. It would seem to me that if needed, they could produce and send out a new tank within days. Did you already send them your damaged tank? At this point they need to come and remove it from your home.

Andrew, it has been 6 months since I originally ordered the tank. We had agreed that they would pick up the old one when I received the new one.

The owner of the company actually called me last night. THe reason they gave is that the company that they bought acrylic sheets from went out of business. Sales guy thought it was better to lie about it so people wouldnt get the wrong idea or become impatient and cancel their orders.

no, they arent.

but there is a difference between a relatively rare incident (tenecor) and common place problems (glasscages)..

do some research on the web and see for yourself. it doesn't take long..
