Same as Europe really. Most of the well off people I've known either work in the media industry or own their own business, none of whom have a degree.

The only fairly well off people I've known that were very well educated were vietnamese people when I lived in Chinatown paris, that were high end engineers etc.

You can def make it big without having to get a degree. In fact the proof is out there.. Billionaires without degrees. But if your folks can afford to send you to college, then it shouldnt be a hindrance to go and then set up a business afterwards.

biggest mistake you'll ever make:(

MAnnnnnnnnnn i hated school too, i got expelled for flippin the F out on my principle, i hated all school, but college is the best, im in my second year now, if you like partying, meeting new people, girls, freedom, your own room away from your relatives, SEXXXXXXX, then go to college, man halloween is the best time of the year too, all the hot girls were sluts for halloween ooooooooh man, heres a visual(picture all the college girls wearing thongs and mini skirts... but the mini skirts were so mini its more like a thong and a belt. HAHA i love seing ass round campus... Im telling you man! you will be smart, and you will have the time of your life!!! go to school, just make sure you pick the school that fits you!, i currently go to PLAYBOYS #1 party school in the nation from like 1987 and 1989... Plymouth State sooooooooon.. its not the biggest school, but we know how ot get drunk, and get the ladiiiiies.
Basically the only bad thing about college is the Debt....

Go to school for the right thing and debt will only be a problem for a few years. I'm glad as hell that I went. I have my own house, all of my fish, a couple of cars, and dont even have a credit card. I purchased my house 2 years out of school. It's definately something that will develop you as an individual. It may be different other places, but a degree helps BIG time here. The typical work ethic here is slim to none, so if you show a degree it proves you have some.

i agree... going to college can only help you develop you... but it still take hard work and some luck to be successful in this world :)

i agree 100%
you gotta have that ''natural'' urge to be the best at what u do.
