Another update:

John came back over and helped me replace the 2 cracked bulkheads, except with I booted it up this time, water was leaking from between the nut and the acrylic. Which is actually a better, more fixable place. So today I took some water out, loosened the nuts, cleaned both sides, retightened and siliconed around the bulkhead on the outside of the tank. Hopefully tomorrow when I boot it back up I will have no leaks.

And I've been thinking about stocking... I think I want to do something like this:

1 or 2 stingrays. Hystrix for sure, then either a motoro or a marble.
1 delhezi bichir
1 or 2 florida gar
3 or so geophagus
1 temensis
And possibily an indo dat and an orino.

I'm probably going to skip the whole monster catfish route this time, and also passing on an arowana.

Again back to the drawing board, I think I'm opening up every hole in the tank. Going to try and make the drains 2" instead of 1", and make all 4 returns 1.5" instead of 1.

Geez haha i have 2" drains and only 3/4" return. Thats why im adding another or a slightly larger pump...would you need 1.5" return if you will have 4? Just wondering. Im not too knowledgeable about it unfortunately. I should do more homework myself i guess. I also added a large powerhead so things seem to be working that way as well

I dont think you should do all 4 1.5" returns unless you are going to use some crazy huge pump. The 2" drains is a good idea however making the returns larger is going to slow down your flow rate. I would stick with the 1" returns but make the drains 2".

Aaahhhh yes valid point. Cause the pump is a 1.5" connection right into the manifold splitting it into four 1" lines. Even with two 1.5 to 2" drains thats enough return?

Its got 3900 gph capacity max. Dolphin amp master 3900. But I have like 6 feet of head. I put it up for sale because I thought id be downsizing, but after doing some hw and wanting to open up the holes I might as well keep it. My plan to downsize to two smaller pumps was using the current hole sizes.
