Ok, but why are they so expensive?

I've never even seen them for sale...

They use to be common as dirt in the early 90's like the Sailfin Dragons (hydrosaurus), but they stopped importing them, or some law came up that didnt allow any more of these to come into the states (I recall seeing babies for $50each in a expo in 1999. They're from Mexico so that can sort of give you an idea (mexico doesnt allow for any exportation of its natural fauna)

its really hard to capture the blue, without having the flash wash it out.

very nice!! expensive but it's worth it..I almost pick a pair while back..now I wish I did..awsome reptiles!!
