This is what I've decided to do and I got the ok from my mom on this today.

-180 gallon aquarium(72by24by25) reef ready with glass tops

-About how much would one of these cost?
-Any good online retailers that sell glass aquariums and are willing to ship?

-DIY stand
-DIY 75 gallon sump/fuge

What kind of protein skimmer to you reccomend for this size tank?

What kind of lighting would be good to show off the fishes colors but is energy efficient and there will be no corals?

Im going a different way on stocking, angels, triggers, eel

Holy crap, i just relized you were 15, lucky :(

A tank that size can run up pretty good... i got my 90 gallon with everything (sump, stand, canopy, crappy T8 light) for 900 dollars... so i would expect a 180 to be around 1500-2000 dollars maybe?

I know DrsF&S sell a 180 for 2999, but that has everything in it.

Shop around, look for the best deal, but still look for quality.

Good luck.

crap, she has already changed her mind, says she doesnt want one as big, so I got her to go with 125 gallon(still good I guess)

coralife super skimmer 125 are supposedly very good.. a shop by me uses them on their coral prop tanks..

T5's are a good use for pretty much all tank (stupid sweetang got me hooked on em too)
they are about the same price as PCs but last longer and are brighter

k, heres the stocklist for the 125 gallon, rip...180

-Brazalian Dragon Moray
-Emperor Angel
-Blue Hippo Tang
-One spot Foxface
-Pinktail Trigger
-Pinkface Wrasse

The only problem i see is the brazilian moray which might be a threat. Are these guys really aggresive?

yikes cross out that stocklist, i was thinking of a 180 when I typed this down.

i was going to say it was a bit heavy...

dragon moray aren't anything too fierce.. any fish that's swallowable needs to be feared..

done more research

Do you think I could do
-Brazilian Moray
-Goldentail Moray
-Pinktail Trigger
-Dogface Puffer(maybe a varient of it)
-3 schooling bannerfish(to add activity)

Providing a good skimmer and water changes every week, i think this would work for 125 gallon.

if you want to keep the fish in there go ahead, if not sell them...
as long as the tank and stand have no major defects it seems good to me

i would say leave out the dragon moray and watch the puffer and trigger with the eel (they tend to be nippy)
