geez that difficult. . . . i'd agree razors in the gravel, maby some dead plants, dont turn the tank light on it may be to light. uhhh i'd say maby some fish bones, just stay awayfrom the happy fluffy white bunnys that sing and dance one the big fluffy clouds decor

Making any progress on the tank so far yet?

well we COMPLETLY cleaned out my room.And I convinced my g'paw to make me a aquarium head board that should fir 2 10 gallon tank and 1 55 gallon tank

as for progress as of yet not much
but me and my emo friend emily are going to the LFS saturday to look at fish
i currently am cycling a 10 gallon(i know small) for some black mollies
and since the lady at my LFS like loves me i might be able to special order a coffin shaped tank
if that doesn't work my grandpa already is drawing up plans for a toe pincher style coffin it will cost probly 200-250 to make but it will look just ike a real coffin like super classy like something a real person would be barried in
it will be just over 500 gallons total i think
8 feet long,4 feet wide,4 feet deep,
oh and as of tomorrow we are clearing out the basement for my fish i hope all the guests in the bedroom in the basement like fish lol
basically we are in the planning/starting stage
but who knows i might pick up the 275 gallon tank i've been eying at the LFS on saturday

For a smaller cemetary style tank. All in black, graveyard decor, underwater led's maybe in green and a school of glass fish and ghost cats. Just an idea that I may now have to try. Please post pics of these tanks as you can. They sound pretty cool.

Thanks for the tip on the glass fish.While at the LFS on saturday i might get some glass fish and some black gravel.How many glass fish can be put into a 10 gallon?It's been cycling for about a week now.What PH is good for glass fish?

GL on those tanks. My only input would be that the blacklight thing seems to make the water hazy when dark. The black light hits all the particles in the water and makes it look murky.

Oh, and as for figurines and leaching.... if you go to a model shop, you can buy model kits for just about anything. They are not painted so you can use them without fear of leaching paint.

Thanks for the tip.I thought about having regular lights or led lights.And yes i know now that black light make tiny particles show up since i put one above my bed all the white stuff on the sheets glowed.It looked majorly weird.

A red tailed black shark (labeo bicolor) would look sick in your black tank. mostly only see a blood read tail swimming on the floor. and pitch black angel fish. maybe a very albino pleco to clean up?!

I am stil planning but i will start asap my new idea is this 1 5 gallon gothic tank,1 10 gallon themed tank,1 25 gallon themed tank,and 55 gallon themed tank

I thought gothic originated from like architecture from europe, so I thought you meant you wanted to make a tank with all the panthenon and greek architecture things from petsmart and i wanted to see how thatd look if a whole tank was themed that way.

Anyway, careful just tossing foreign objects in there, maybe you should soak them or something for a month before just to make sure.

As for fish, put some sweet convicts in there, they are so easy to take care of, and if there is a male and female they will breed and you can have an undead army of convicts!!!!

well unless your tank is like 10 gallons, then just get like black mollys, those are the blackest fish I have ever seen.

i have one convict named Akon with a sorta gothic them going on.
The decoration in his tank is a skull with a snake coming out it's mouth
he loves it and he looks like a ghost coming out of it he kinda just floats out of it
he's in iso now in a 10 gallon because he killed his matepoor lil kim never had a chance

as for my other 10 gallon i probly will ither go with glass fish or the black mollies.
i have tooo many 10 gallon Wal-Mart tanks
but you can't beat their price

I believe that Juggalo's fish is a black piranha... I could be wrong. You need a big tank for them. They get huge.... like 16" big, but that takes a long time and they have to be by themselves. Buy me a 275 while you're there at the LFS,

ok like how big of a tank would a black parina need?
sure i'll pick you up a tank will that be cash,check,or credit lol
i might get the 275 but 2 problems it costs a little more than i make in 6 months and 2 no where to put it
it would have to go in the basement and if it went down there i would have to repaint the walls,and totaly redecorate the entire basement to do the tank justice
right now plans for the trip to the LFS for the 55 have haulted my granny's goldfish came down with ick we had 1 goldfish and 1 koi in the tank the koi died and i'm having to care for the goldfish
i raised the water temp to 80 degrees,lowered the water line about 5 inches,added salt,put a heter in,added stress coat,did a partial water change,and put in melafix,. it should take 3 weeks to cure him so nothings going in the tank for the next month
i believe it's ick his eyes are cloudy and tere is this thick white stuff on his lips and gills and like dots of white on his tail.
But i am gonna posibly buy some mollies to cycle my 10 gallon tank
the tank has been cycling abut 2 weeks now but the ph was way offf yesterday it was acidic and the amonia was way bad.but then again i used dip strips they could be off.Any ideas on raising ph?And how many mollies should i put in the 10 gallon?
i've decided to do all my tanks in a gothic them.

I'm sorry about your loss, Black piranhas get big so you want at least a 90, preferably a 125. They'll be fine in a smaller tank for a while, but they take a long time to grow that big... I'll buy mine w/ credit, lol. I'm going to build a 150. Doing them all gothic now?

Gold barbs would really pop in a small dark tank..orange and black with bright red tails,Kinda clownish

yes ki'm doing them all gothic now but with different fish and slightly different decorations
today i bought 4 black mollies for one of my 10 gallon tanks as a minature goth type theme
the tank has been set up forabout 2 weeks but i had my convit ciclid in there for over a week i moved him to another tank to cycle it he is hard to kill so i use him as a cycling fish
i put a air pump in the tank for the mollies along with some plastic plants because 1 female is pregnant and i want to save some of the babies and i wrapped the intake of the filter in a piece of washcloth to keep the babies from being sucked up
just a update on my tanks
i would post pictures but my computer is psyco i'll have to figure out how to fix it then i'll post picks
as for the goldfish he's touch and go but i think he'll survive
and a recent update on the coffin aquarium/coffee table we oficaly start construction as of tomorrow
i will post picks if possible
