Yeah you should be happy!!

Those are some nice looking fish. Hopefully they'll stay friends!

Nice pick up.

I had to seperate them today when I got home from work. I thought one had died, cause I didn't see both of them swimming at the surface:WHOA: .
The little guy was hanging out under a piece of drift wood. His fins looked a little beat up, but nothing that wont heal in a few days.
When the grow out I will try to add them into the 600.

It's alright man. Don't get discouraged. They look awesome. If all else fails, I would just separate them until they are in the 4-6"range and then introduce them. By that time they should be hardy enough to take whatever beating the other might offer while they are getting used to each other. Good luck with them!

Excellent pickups on the two black arows. :) Love the pinkish indigo color that they develop on their fins later on as they mature. I prefer blacks over silvers, simply because they are less commonly seen in the hobby... and their much slower growth rates... compared to silver arows. But both S. American species are nice specimans!

A shame they began fighting with one another in your tank... doesn't sound surprising tho... Perhaps a third or fifth aro could may have worked?!! But they both will become more hardy, once they reach the 12"+ mark. GL mixxing them later in the 600g. Be sure to keep us updated as they progress.

Some old pics of past blacks i've kept... both reached near the 2ft. mark.
