Agreed. I was thinking more in the short term after they are initially introduced. If they grow out a little bit, they would be able to withstand any initial fighting a little better. They might never get along, but you never know until you try. Just be ready to separate the two of them if the fighting persists.

Kept both of them in community tanks w/ many various tankmates. Actually were very calm and peaceful,,, like big giant water teddy bears!!

nice blacks!!! I wish I hd a tank that size for my black. They can keep there coloring for a long time as well. Mine is pushing 16" now but in this pic he was 14" you can see he is still very colorful
