I never worry bout tannins just throw the wood in the tank and I actually like the color it changes the water, makes it look more natural.

Anyway, now maybe you can show us a pic of your gourami :)
Sorry for the poor snap, I'm running late for work;)
Carlene, the white fish are moonlight gouramis, a bit bigger then your dwarf, for size comparison;)

I don't the tannins, they are needed in other tanks, but then do leak like mad if you don't boil the wood first, puts the wood into a slow release state

Thanks for the pic, very handsome little fellow. :hearts:
Maybe, at least until his teeth fully develop that is;)

Any luck with the camera phone?

Thank you! No it isn't a real piece just something I picked up from my lfs. I thought it was pretty cool. I like to have pieces that the fish can goof around in and make it half way looking natural. Pretty fun, but the pieces in the right corner is the bogwood original, not having any problems so far. Do you see the little peacock gudgeon in the middle? She was the only one that showed up for the photo shoot.:grinno:

Cute little fella:headbang2

Is that a few spots of blue gravel I see
? Mater Tequila must be in a good mood:ROFL:

For the next step, embedded you tube vids;)

Carlene, hows the gourami doing? anything to report?
