This is laughable.... now you guys are allowing yourself to accept the fact that a super nice marble motoro is worth as much or more than a banned and hard to get black ray?
this is all a joke... american hobbiest sit back and bandwagon the japanese because they come up with some term we jump all over it... guess what... nice marble motoros were in vogue b4 asia went ray crazy.....
a marble motoro cost 35-75 at the river...... once in the usa it should cost anywhere from 175-300 depending if you have a really nice one I can see it selling for 500 because u just gotta have it but anymore than that you are tossing ur money out the window... if asia wants to pay 1500 for a nice marble than let them waste their money....

I have never been a black ray fan. I do love pearls though. My wife is the one that freaks over black rays, but if you ask her if she wants to sell our marble babies for a black ray she quickly responds with a NO! Black diamonds aside, Leos all look the same to me. Yeah some have large spots and some have eclipse spots but no matter how you spin it, they are still black with white spots. MM's on the other hand can be dark or light, they can have reddish to tan spots, they can be dirty looking and they can be bold. So much variation to choose from at 1/4 the price. These two marble pics are what I call some nice rays. Sorry I stole you pic JD7

Another thing to add is that ray prices do fluctuate....
There was a time when black rays were not so expensive, things change! Perhaps there will be an eventual swing for nice marbles?
