I would tend to agree with this, for now but who is to say as they mature.

Also if I am remembering correctly ( correct me if I am wrong) you have
said on a number of occasions that you have noticed that two average
wild specimens are producing exceptional pups in Captive Breeding.
So by this theory, given quality food and conditions, who is to say that
two of these specimens won't do the same. Just some food for thought.;)

But like you said for 225 they do ROCK.

^ agreed ^

Thanks for that Kev,your more than welcome anytime.I will try and post pictures of the pups soon, they are really changing fast now,the base colour is almost as dark as the parent fish, ive got a recently imported Chainlink, its a little stunner but very different to my captive pups.

Hi,these are the pictures of both parents and pups. You can see the changes they have undertaken, the motoro pups in with the baby Pearl and Hystrix pup (the first baby ray i produced) are the same ones that are in the single pictures only a few months older, the colour change and pattern is astounding,i noticed today that the squiggles between the spots are now coming through and the rings around the spots are getting broader and darker, cant wait to see the finished article,if the captive bred pups are of superior quality to the wild parents as mentioned on this thread then they will make wonderful fish.
You can clearly see where the female has put the male in his place with the suck marks on his disc, here he is trying it on again but shes having none of it,shes the gaffer make no mistake.
Hope you enjoy the pictures,
cheers.

Amazing!!!

Ditto...And interesting looking hystrix too. Looks like a cross.

Seeing a pearl pup next to a marble pup clearly shows there is no relation in the two. Very nice collection.
