aquaman..what do you put in your water?? those are really something..i'd be honored to have them in my possesion!

Thanks for that DB,yes i think they are very special too.I have had them for about 8 years now,i bought them privately,i couldnt believe my eyes when i saw them,i really cant remember what i paid back then but to me they are priceless,i will post pictures of the pups in due course, one has a 20cm disc already,im not selling any just yet,i want to watch them grow and change for a while yet.
Thanks again,
Richard.

Thanks Cj,
Just ordinary tap water, theres no magic to keeping freshwater rays, just dedication and hard work,im sure you all agree, get lazy and complacent and they die!!!

DUCKMAN HAS A FEMALE MM THAT ID GIVE 2K FOR. POST SOME PICS BRO. IVE SEEN 6-8 MM IN PEOPLES AVATARS THAT ID HAVE NO PROBLEM GIVING 1500-2000 FOR. AND IF ANY OF THOSE PEOPLE WANT TO SELL LET ME KNOW. THE MM THAT ARE COMING IN FOR 225 ARE NOT WORTH 1K OR MORE. YOU CANT COMPARE. ITS LIKE A DIAMOND FELLAS. THE BETTER THE QUALITY THE HIGHER THE PRICE. TO ME EVERY DIAMOND IS THE SAME. WHY PAY 10K FOR A RING WHEN I CAN GET A CUBIC Z. FOR 100 BUCKS? BUT THATS ME. AND A REAL GEMOLOGIST WOULD KILL FOR SOME REALLY RARE STONES. JUST LIKE TRUE RAY GUYS WOULD FOR A TRUELY KILLER MM.

How could a certain price be a rip off...if people are willing to pay those prices? Its just like anything else...if you have it to spend, and its what you want, why not buy it. If the look you want is hard to come by, and someone has the look you want, the extra 3-4-5 hundred bucks might be worth it to the particular individually. Some of us might morally have a problem with this but is this not the type of society in which we live? It is grandiose to say "if we stop paying the high prices, the prices will go down." Someone will always be willing to pay the high price as money to some is of no consequence. It is very difficult to put a price on desirability. Even when I talk to friends who are well off, or they come by and see my rays, the have a conniption at the concept of a $100 fish...less know a 2-3-4-500 dollar fish. We are all crazy about fish...just some more than others. I.E. I would never pay more than $5.00 for any grade of FH as I am not the least bit attracted to this fish. But some pay well into the hundreds for a high grade FH. To each his own. I personally like the "black and white" of black rays. So trying to compare the "black and white" to the many variations of MM is (IMO) not a fair comparison. We should be comparing the variations of all potamotrygons...that is a more fair comparison. Afterall, we get stoked on the physical appearance (i.e. patterns and designs) of the rays, no matter which variant...from a motoro/mantilla cross, to a BD or eclipse.

u know i like black and white!!!:naughty:

I can't really say being in asia. The price of good grade MMs actually dropped to below $350 USD from over $700 USD.

The 1-2 show grades per 1000 are seperate and always command a premium no matter what the market.

Must be a good supply.
