Grade my flowerhorn

Tank was cycled for 3 weeks prior

Oh by looking at the picture it might have some sort of internal parasite (most likely hex). Its a bit bloated so using a medication such as pazipro in a week or two when its fully settled will ensure a long and healthy life. I personally dont like using epson salt as its a bit harsh on them but it is very effective. Do you mind me asking if the tank is cycled?

Srry for repost didnt know how to edit but u sure it has hex? My flowerhorn seems very active and no white poop

wow pretty high grade for cheap.thats a great price.love that thick double row.nice srd. did you feed the fish before you posted the pics?maybe thats why he looks fat lol

looks great, what a deal!-) private seller im guessing, would be 120 plus in a lfs i would think?

Imo hex stays hidden unless its a serious case. When you add pazipro they'll swim around like their about to die and then boom they poop out a huge long worm thats the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. I treat all my new fh's with it and its a good idea when you see even the slightest bloat unless he was overfed haha.

i will go get some pazipro tomorrow better safe then sorry
and do i just drop it in the tank r put fish in another tank n then treat him

The great thing about pazipro is that its safe! Super super safe. It doesnt affect any biological bacteria, very easy on the fish yet very effective. My fh was fine as in being active and also as in eating well. He had some bloat and I took the safe route and after some pazipro boom! Waiting till the fh stops eating and becomes stress is the main killer of hex imo.

Left for work and came back to see a worm that was about 3 inches long.. Note the fh is only about 2.5-3 inches! Hes on his second treatment so second week of pazipro and is now crappin out skinny white worms.. Sorry for the dirty glass haha!

But its very simple to use as you use 1 tbsp per 20 gallons and distribute it around the tank if I'm not mistaken. It usually takes about 2-3 weeks to fully get rid of hex as the life cycle is about that long from egg to mature parasite.
