You have a very cool uncle but I agree with one of the posts here (I can only imagine what I would have my uncle do for me if he can manufacture fish tanks, assuming he would do something with my help). I am not trying to be negative but in 3 years maybe 4, maybe you will have the tank in your hands. You mentioned it is still a long wait and that it is a graduation gift right? You also mentioned that you won't need to move it in the house because you would save up and buy a bigger house. I would say 3 years after college (assuming you don't have student loans) living in parents place is enough to save up to buy a house of your own. So that's probably 6 years give or take before you get a chance to actually "enjoy" the graduation gift in your own place. By that time, what you want will probably be a lot different from what you want right now.
Maybe its just me being negative or maybe realistic but I think the situation is a bit unrealistic at the moment. Although there is nothing wrong with being 18, having a list of your "dream" stock list in a huge tank and the list coming to a fruition.
This is a major derail and feel free to delete it. Man, 6 years of living in a work oriented country makes you realistic I guess. I think it also gave me a sense of what I can do, not do, try to do, and aim for in the future...
Now back to writing that midterm paper...
