That is a beast. What is the difference between a grammode and a regular dovii btw?
they are completely different species

Great looking monster you got there balton777! Looks very large did you get a measurement for his thickness? Thanks for sharing a very impressive specimen.

All of these Grammodes updates is gonna make me do one up of mine lol

Nice grammodes. I wish mine would grow like that.

What are you feeding him and does he eat like a pig or is he a "hit-and-miss" eater. Mine is very "hit-and-miss" and very picky.

so have u got him in with the female now?

They look very similar though. I wasn't sure if they were related, at least in pics. I don't see so many freshwater fish here in Florida (not like when I lived in CA). All the local fish stores seem to focus more on saltwater fish.

I do see something nice once in a while but not so often.

nice grammy. i've been trying for ages to source one in australia but no luck. seems like they haven't 'swam' over here yet. hopefully soon :)
you got some nice tanks going man.

good luck with his healing process

Thank for the compliments. This is my third attempt at keeping a Grammodes the first two got killed.

Grammodes was classified as nandopsis for a while but I see it's now listed as cichlasoma again whereas Dovii are Parachromis. Grammys are often called Mini-Dovii because they have a similar shape.

He's not real thick yet....do they get real thick? This is my first mature Grammodes. The first two got murdered before they hit 5".
