Gravel or barebottom

To the origional poster,
Why dont you remove the gravel from half of your tank and leave it in the other half? You should be able to work out what suits you best fairly quickly. If your still undecided then leave it this way a litle longer until you do. Its just personal preference.

so many threads so little time, can't believe I've missed this one so far....

Anyhow it boils down to personal tastes, yes each has it's own benefits in cretain sitsuations, but really neither is better. One thought though, with salt water aquariums where presevring water quality is much higher priority, ya really don't see any bare bottom tanks.
