Gravel or sand for datnoid.

I been taking some sand out each week. gonna go bare bottom for a while, then try black.

So would like to see your tigers against a black sand substrate.
 
hmmm ive got one of you sand hating dats... oddly he likes it in my tank... he hates my soft water but he likes the sand...
 
haha. i put in black and white gravel with planted driftwood. not 100% stable but they seem to like it alot more. ill get the picture up and running soon

i need to get a card reader for my camerca so i can post better pictures so, the grey looking dog is my delhezi. very photogenic took it a while back also sorry for the smaller picture they are archer fishes and stable thinbar. i have 3 indos but they are hiding behind the driftwood so i couldnt take it.

Thanks C4P..:-). thats a cool looking tank. very original, and I like the substrate.
 
thx ade. my tank looks empty so i need to get more datnoids
 
IMHO, I like it bare bottom easy to clean and substrate adds bio load to the tank but if you have bichir substrate is recommendable but if you want you can feed your bichir high protein diet so that they will not have a flat belly! hey earl you can attest to this :D
 
thank you. i had alot more fish but i had to get rid of it because i had to much bioload. bichirs are eating like a fatass. they are getting me broke LOL
