Hard to find, who knows why - they are a great fish that can be housed in a very small aquarium (as far as sharks go).

I had one but let him go for $38 in store credit recently.

Being sold for $150. Fully grown at just over 20" (has been that large for years with room to grow).

I had him for three years, my friend had him for two - and said he bought him at that size.

Good luck finding them - they are the best and most responsible choice for those looking to get into sharks.

The one just posted is a grey for sure. I think I have a pic of them side by side somewhere. Let me dig it out today. If I can't find it, I'll just take a couple

Edit:
Not the best, but this is the dorsal of a brown banded bamboo. If you look at the back edge, you can see how it curves inwards vs the outward curve of the grey that Burbon just posted.

Brown banded.

Grey in my tank for reference.

Can bamboo sharks be kept in a shallow tank? That's how they had them kept in the petting tank at SeaWorld, and if they can be kept in a shallow tank, I would really like to build a custom tank for them and start doing some research.
