Not only was it double boxed packed very well in styrofoam, but it looks to be a good quality tank. its a All in one setup with decent lighting, 18watt Powercompact blue/white 10000k bulb. Its an unknown brand as you can see in the pictures, at least ive never heard of it, but tank quality is excellent in my opinion, the water circulates around the tank nicely the lights are pretty bright ill let the pictures do the rest. but onto negatives, fan is a little loud, but it blows air well, sounds like a computer, not sure if thats normal, but its a brushless computer fan, only other negative is i wish they would pack the media seperate, because the carbon and ceramic leave a lot of dust you have to clean out before filling, other than that its a great tank in my opinion and id recomend it, especially for 90$. Pictures with iphone so not the greatest quality

Cali has some crazy prices on stuff.

I would still say this was a good deal...I am just wondering how good that light is going to be. If I had a 28g...it would be running a 75w MH for sure...depending on if I could keep tank temps down.

i agree cali has good deals on stuff, and yeah im happy with it, the light seems pretty good so far, 18 watts for 8 gallons, more like 6 gallons of water that will see the light, so 3 watts a gallon is decent. i left the lights on overnight, no temp change in water, plastic covering the bulb gets warm though. but theres plenty more left on ebay, just search nano aquarium and they should be easy to find.

Cali is fish heaven. Sometimes I wish I was there.

I might recommend one of these two a friend actually.

WPG isnt the best way to determine how much light you have...I am more concerned with intensity/PAR.

Are you planning on reefing? Im not saying it cant be done, I am just interested to see what ends up happening. I have almost 5wpg on my 125g of very intense light (MH and VHO)

im new to all this, and the bulb just says PL-18W +10000 K its half white/ half blue or actinic blue whatever it is. im guessing the intensity is 10000K and idk what PAR is. I am planning on reefing, just a few corals or sponges, anything easy for beginners and what yall think i could grow in there. ill post more pics once i add sand and live rock, then in a week hopefully a cleaning crew, and in another week or so a couple of corals.

you can try some mushroom corals or some anthelia sp (the encrusting waving hand type) pulsing xenia could work as well as some non photosynthetic stuff. Those all worked for me in a lower light setup.
