Great Cheap nano tank review/setup !!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have no idea...contact the seller?

Looks at least like he is gearing these towards the hobby...ask him what he thinks, hopefully he is experienced...and has set up or helped others set up systems with his lights.

Going to take some work...plus you are going to need the "heat sink"...so space might get tight.

yeah true , but im getting 2 brushless fans for the hood, one will push cool air in and the other will suck hot air out. i also have some aluminum plating i can use for heat sink so i think it will work. but do you know of any lights on ebay that might work ? thanks a lot for your help and opinions :)

I (and I am assuming very many others) have no idea how to really judge what will be appropriate as far as LED lighting goes.

I have never done more than research them, and so many different factors go into an LED build or fixture it is insane.

Guess we will have to see! Fingers crossed.

yeah haha im just going to expierment with them and see what happens. knock on wood i dont shock the crap out of myself :) but im not putting anymore money into the setup, just livestock and maintenance. the moonlights have worked for 2 full nights so hopefully they last a while haha. i upgraded the pump to a minijet 606 pumping 160 gph so i dont need a wavemaker, lighting and cooling have a little work left to do though.

not at the moment sorry haha busy weekend, should be getting some new corals in this week aswell as the LED lights and fans so more stuff to come. also working on the 80 gallon setup, FW though

If you havent looked into AquaBeam....they are slightly more expensive, but make a quality unit I think you could use and have great results with in this tank.

yeah i looked at them, but they were out of the price range, do yall think this is enough light ?
18 watt power compact half 10,000 K white and actinic blue. 4 three watt 19,000 K LEDs, and 3 three watt blue LEDs, each LED giving off 160 lumens each.

From what I have been reading most recently....especially due to my new found interest in the AquaBeam stuff...yes, it should be as long as those are quality LED's.

Only time and coral growth will tell though.
