So let me get this straight. You come on to a thread about saving money on an fx6 and say "ugh they sound like chainsaws" then say you have never used them before? Then you compare how great and superior you think eheims are, wow, just wow.
 
I ended up getting in on this deal too. $211 after tax, can't beat it. I have the fx5 along with the eheim 2217 and I prefer the fx5. It's all just preference so to each is own. I do like that the fx6 came with media and some pads this time though
 
I ordered a fx5 last and was canceled by petsmart within 10 minutes. I was bummed but got the deal today. The web site was slow and I couldn't get my order in. I called and they gave me the online price and the extra 15% discount came to $199.97.... Already running on my 125 gallon. Thanks for sharing.

If there is an upcoming FX7, I sure hope they move the motor to the top where it belongs. All the Fluvals that are smaller do it. Eheim does it.
 
Fx7. Features. Heater, uv, filter dirty warning, battery back up.
