Do you use any kind of filtering media prior to the scrubbies. On my overflow I have to foam filters the catch all particles prior to dumping into the sump. I have no issues with waste/particle build up in my scrubbies.johno27;4863083; said:Actually I think it could help with Nitrates. The moving media is less likely to collect detritus staying cleaner and as a result keeping nitrates lower. I know the main reason I have any Nitrates in my 150 is because my pot scrubbers collect so much detritus.
Maybe Trev can confirm my suspicions

Is it supposed to be better? Or just another alternative?
Not trying to pick a fight, just looking for info..
