If you used the same media but let water drip over it, it wouldn't be as effective?

u would need more media to get the same surface area as a reactor. even the best wetdry is going to have dry spots where bacteria dosnt grow.

dosnt mean one is better then the other, u can just achieve more with less.

but i guess another plus is there is no buildup in a reactor like the "possibility" w bioballs in a wetdry...
