The family Belonidae is legal here... just gotta find one of those guys now.

Strongylura krefftii is the one you're after, growing to at least 85cm, have a mate who was doing a netting survey in our local dam and found them over 1m (3 feet) in length. Be very wary though, they do like to jump. Otherwise, if you've got the space, they're good pets. Good luck finding one.

I want to raise a juvie, currenly only seen 20-30cm specimens for sale. I want 5-15cm specimens.

Yeh give it a month or so and there will be smaller ones available.

For me it's a tie between Barramundi and Murray Cod, they are both great fish

There quite a few more I like but it's to late at the moment to think

HAHA!, Barra's just get plain boring after a while, ( thats why i love cichlids! ). The galaxis are just more my sorta fish than over grown perch. =]
