Wow those are huge, are they good to eat?
YEP!!!
People go craying for them over the winter months.
They are fast becoming rare and are now extinct in South Australia.

I couldn't eat them however.....:headshake

Do you have any type of crustations over there??? Crabs???

Watch it, Yabba, or I'll sick my attack cat on you for that one! (because my 30lb bowling ball sized cat is really going to attack anything except the food dish... but still! lol)

You guys think youv'e got it bad, Theres only 1 species of cray legal over here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only 1? Can you keep any of the natives, or they're illegal to own, too?

And even, still... DAMN. I'm done complaining now, forever. :nilly:

Natives (austropotomobius pallipes) are endangered cos of the signals so we can't collect them. The law was introduced not that long ago so if you claim you had the cray before it was illegal then you can keep it , also it states that when you catch a non-native cray you can't return it alive but nothing about just taking it home and keeping it as long as you have all the right paperwork.
