Green Aro vs RTGG (no rematch)

Aro ended up with 1/3 of his caudal fin (back fin) ripped off and the RTGG (6 inch) lost a few scales and has lashing marks across his body. Cant believe how aggressive the RTGG is for his size, it's never attacked any other fish in the tank before this either.

I've seperated the two as i dont want to risk losing one of them to another fight.

Does anyone know how long it will take for the fin to grow back on the aro?
Any suggestions on treatment? So far i've upped the temp to 30 and added some salt

Damn unlucky mate..

Sometimes these things just dont work out...

When my big green got a bit of tail damage a couple of years ago..it grew back a lighter color.
 
same thing happend to my green a year or 2 back.. it took a while to grow back. about a little over a month. but mine was only 6". i dont know if urs being 10" will grow back any faster or slower. if u want faster results try melafix!
 
Just a lil update on the poor bugga.

A day after the fight the aro's tail started to get really red and looked like it was bleeding. I upped the temp to 31, added salt and treated it with melafix.
I changed 20% water everyday and today he has finally started to eat pellets and swim with grace again. The previous few days he was swimming with his head tilted down and tail out of the water.

Don;t do anything to drastic. Just keep the water clean and it will heal on its own. Can you still see fin where the tail broke, or is it past the scales?
