an asian aro is a good aro, but green is lowest quality of all asians. i belive greens get the be the biggest of them all as well.

are you looking to buy the green 9''er from aquarist classifieds if so ask sharptooth about it he got it for the lad who is selling it.
i have had 2 greens and both were good fish and a good starter asian aro.
i am now onto a RTG and they are better imo than a green but as you said alot more expensive over 3 times the price

i remember seeing a picture of a wild caught green over in asia and it was MASSIVE...

get the green, its a ture brred of asian aro and in my opinion looks much better than a 1.5 red.

i started off with a green and must admit i has been my favorite asian up to now.

Greens are good starter asian aros - if you can get them in the US in fact any asian aro in the US will be great because they are not freely available. But if you can afford it go for a RTG. This RTGof mine is 14" long, 8 mths old and is my fave.
