-Update :)
New babies are here... Yeeeey
This batch is really small a lot of the eggs didn't get fertilized properly as you can see in the front of the pot.
The babies are the little glob in the back of the pot. Mom moved them there after they hatched.
I will start hatching some BBS (baby brine shrimp) tomorrow morning so I can have some ready for them by Thursday.

Above are a couple of pics of Dad hiding out.

He's upset I moved the other fish before he killed them all.

I hope you guys enjoyed the pics...
I'll update as things progress here even though this is a small batch.

(YES) Thank You :)
This is the second set of parents & they are still very young.
So for them to have succeeded first time @ it is GREAT.

I also have a third set of BGGG's for this project & they look like they'll spawn soon.
Unfortunately I lost the female for the first set in this project. The male was too rough when wanting to Spawn for a second time.
I'll keep a closer eye on these two other pairs.

that kool i hope the fry really look green. their parents are pretty nice looking. that sucks i hope you can find him another mate and maybe try a see thru divider to separate them until they are ready to go at it again

Thank you for your kind words :)
I put the male from the first pair back in a small community tank with other BGGG's. Hopefully he'll find a female to his liking again. I let my fish pair themselves off on their own & then use them for my projects. That's how I got the three pair that I used for this project.

I'll keep that divider in mind when the babies mature a little bit. I was really surprised that I lost the female from the first pair, but I knew this was a possibility. I will just have to keep a closer eye on them after I move the fry out into a grow out tank. I won't be doing that until the parents lose interest in about 6-8 weeks.

I'll keep you posted

This thread is fascinating lol!!! Do EBJDs occur naturally in the wild? and if they do are they strong enough genetically to survive in the wild?

Hi...
I'm not sure if I'll sell any (Green JD's) just yet. I lost most of the babies from the first pair because the heater in the fry tank quit working one night. I have to wait & see what kind of numbers I get from the second & third BGGG pairs that I'm using for this project. If the numbers are good I'll save you a few... O.k.???
