i guess any kind of maray has a second set of jaws. when they bite on something the second jaw retracts ripping bits from the object, knarly teeth make this second, retractable set ofjaws super painful, i suggest don't get bitten.

Great now I'm gonna have nightmares!!! This is entirely new to me, I knew they had a very nasty bite, but this was unexpected.

This, I wanted one for my pond, but there is no way I will do it now because my dog sometimes goes swimming in there :S

You do know morays need saltwater, right? Just asking because you asked if they would eat a freshwater fish, and I also saw your other thread.

They can live in brackish water as well, fish that can live in brackish water can live in freshwater as well, but their lives will be shortened a year or 2.

lolwut?
1. the green moray cannot live in anything other than saltwater.
2. brackish fish cannot "live in freshwater as well"
3. "their lives will be shortened a year or two"? crazy thought: let's be responsible petowners and give our animals what the need in order to thrive.
