Green Moray Eel harmful to humans?

Jesus ****ing christ! HS! What about the Fimbriated Moray? Are they also as dangerous? Also can these 2 types of fish eat full grown Electric Yellow Cichlids?

why do you care? the eel should by no means be going into freshwater anyways. and yes, any aggressive fish with sharp teeth is fairly dangerous.

But seriously.
There are some brackish water fish that have been found in freshwater, like Scats, Monos, Hogchokers, and Archers. There are breeding populations of them in freshwater. But then there brackish fish that can't live in fresh water, like Tile Morays. Green Morays are full salt, all the time. Sometimes they may be found in canals, estuaries, and river mouths, but it is always seawater or darn near it.

As for the Yahoo link, Livebearers really don't care much about salinity. I personally have found Gambusia holbrookii in full seawater. So Livebearers are not good parameters for a Moray Eel.

HOW DID I MISS THIS THREAD?! i have a 5 foot green moray , hes in my avatar. He bit that titanium stick in half!


Thats my baby in the pics!!! he wouldnt ever harm me , hes wraped his mouth around my arm but i think he was testing/tasting me. his tounge is sooo stractchy , he hates visitors though. The only big problem ive ever had was really quite funny. My friend that is black was infront of the tank and my eel when nutts kicking water up attacking the glass, coming out of the water for him. We had to exit the room lmao

and yes, one of my lfs owners was working at a warehouse moving a 6 footer. He lost his forearm due to a nasty bite. It latched onto his arm and began to swallow his forarm then using its body like most eels do they knot themselfs ripping and tearing.

that was my old 210 , hes being currently rehohomed into the new 12ft x2ft x2ft tank. . For the grouper i plan on keeping him. Ill have my 52k tank soon.
