At those sizes, they will still be hard to tell apart. The spots are not a good gauge, as I have seen both species with and without spots on the whole body. The second one without a better side view still appears to be a Baryancistrus demantoides.

if you pull the original journals identifying the fish there are three characteristis 1) skin fold connecting dorsal to adipose fin, 2) spots limited to the first thrid of the fish 3) a specified number of teeth per jaw that I don't remember. I think its a great looking fish but a hemi. The other two defintely hemis
