no hes not a figure 8, hes definitely a green spotted. i think he has internal parasites after reading about these guys some more, it says most of them are caught in the wild and a good portion of them come with parasites keeping them thin even if they eat regularly. which is the case here, he devours food but doesnt get much of a belly on him at all
