Green Spotted Puffer Problem

You're really being extremely disrespectful here. I have written & published many articles (in several languages) on puffer care, that are referred to all over the world. Including all the pufferfish profiles in the Tropical Fish Hobbyiest book: The Encyclopedia of Exotic Tropical Fishes, along with names like Brian Scott & Axelrod. Puffers are a species than need special considerations to their care & I keep trying to point this out to the newbie that may not be ready to commit to this.

But foods in that article does... :screwy:

I figured the respect in this thread had already been abandoned.

I read your little article and no where in it did it list a food that was good for wearing down the beak. It listed foods to feed a puffer which is great but not what im looking for.

Im sure you could have given me an answer to my question with the simple name of a food great for controling the beak but instead you directed me to a page on your site which did not give me my answer and then mocked me for moving on and trying to get a direct answer. I dont care if you discovered the puffer! you still didnt answer my question. Please if your here to stroke your ego dont post in this thread. And if you are here to help dont mock me.

You could try a different type of snail. Maybe the ones you are putting in there taste like goat butt.
:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:
Sorry, but(t) how would you know that taste? :ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:
Ahh...nevermind, TMI :eek::D

I have eaten tons different animals. Goat butt is definitely on that list.
So, does goat's butt taste like snail, or vice versa ?
Not meaning to de-rail the thread, just seems to be getting a little hostile on a couple sides.

I have never eaten snail. I am pretty sure that different snails will have a different taste to them though.

Roasted goat is pretty good; goat butt just sounds bad. I had it in a Swaerma (spelling) with some Iraqi locals.

Well to start with Pufferpunk's diet is perfect for wearing down teeth, so if you were to follow it you don't have to keep asking. That aside, snails really aren't a good way to wear down teeth since the puffer goes straight for the snail and ignores the crunchy shell.

Get something that makes him bite the shell such as freeze dried/frozen krill or shrimp.

I am not going to hunt down and store eveything on that list to feed my puffer. Yes I realize if I had a regular size freezer (Mini Fridge at the moment) with the storage space for all that and some ice cubes, it would be ideal feeding and keeping the beak down but I didnt ask for the food list because I dont have the room for that. I asked for one more food I can feed that will help keep the beak down. I feed mainly frozen krill and the beak is not a problem as of now but im trying to avoid it from becoming one.

Just on the subject of getting it to eat snails, have you tried crushing them slightly.

Maybe even a little drawn butter? (sorry I couldn't resist either) :D.
