See this post proves my point...... you have seen a naked woman in person ( at least twice  )

 :D. I like the idea of somebody making a poll so everybody who has had experience with the green terror can give their opinion. :) ;)

marce your comment earlier in this post was "GT'S cant hang with big aggressive cichlids due to they lack the proper tools to defend themselves." Now yes a umbee or dovii would without a doubt own a GT but they are in another class of there own and everybody knows that. But TRIMACS,FH,RD,JAG,TEXAS,REDTERROR these are all aggressive big cichlids and though in some cases the GT wouldn't have a chance because i've seen some possesed demon FH , and some vicious Jags but in most cases a full grown GT could live with all these cichlids in a big enough tank and the GT would have no problem defending himself.

Jackoscar i think that is false, GT can hoold their own(with JDs, oscars) fish like that but i have never seen any GT defend against a RD or Midas, RT completely out class a GT, the GT's jaws in a sense are "slack jawed" which means that they are not as strong, as i'm sure everyone here knows that cichlids fight with their mouths, GTs are strong but not nearly as strong as an RT or Midas Trimacs, FHs, so I think you made a bit of an overstatement man, in some cases yes they can hang with the big boys but i put them more in the category of semi-aggressive big cichlids like JDs and oscars, so far as the texas goes the are slack jawed also, they go pretty good with the GTs

motag your experience alone is why you think that, What do you have a 55g with all baby monsters and think you know fish you dont. Go over to the regular cichlid post on marce's poll and you will see there from experienced aquarist that they are often kept wit trimacs,rd's and jags. HAAHAHAHAH a kid with 1 fish over 5" telling me i'm wrong..........Hilarious.

Why dont somebody get some pictures of smiling Acara hanging with some big boys? The GT is a nice Cichlid but IMO can't hang with a fully grown Trimac, Red Terror or a Midas unless in a 250+ gallon.

Repair has a couple small GTs with a really big midas but its in a 265 ( i think)........but the original argument never mentioned tank size. Its pretty heavily stocked too, maybe that has something to do with it. Either way, it seems to work....
