I have a 3 year old green terror (saum) that I got from someone 3 weeks ago. He is eating fine, acting normal, and looks good. However, he is heavily breathing and has been for the 3 weeks I have had him.
He is in a 55 gallon by himself that is filtered with a fluval 306 canister, an AC 70, and another job (forget brand), so I have lots of aeration and water movement. Water parameters are great with no nitrites or ammonia and low nitrates. Ph is good too. Any suggestions? Should I treat him with any meds as a precaution?
