...Oh. forgot one thing from my usual floating food rant. Feeder fish. You know, with the swim bladders with gas in them? Sometimes the same people worried about air in floating pellets feed feeder fish. Faulty logic.
hey thanks for the reply and whats the brand?I feed mine a mix pellet. Protein and veggie mix. They get shrimp, krill, and bws as an occasional treat.
They like earthworms too.
That sounds like flashing. He might have parasites if you see him doing that repeatedly. Even goldfish shouldn’t do that. And one last question guys i seen that he is sometimes doing some sudden moves like throwing himself to gravel is it cos of stress?
or do they just do it sometimes like goldfish?
Hi well my water is crystal clear so is mu substrate filters etc i only see this after he eats actually as i said earlier he only eats shrimp etc maybe its his trick to cut them in or idk maybe to digest them? or i heard that it may be cause of stress i dont want to apply medication right awayFlashing can also be due to an irritant in the water, because of a dirty filter or substrate, for example. Also, I used to get some flashing after water changes back when I did the tablespoon of aquarium salt per 5 gals of water thing. I did some reading on salt years ago, that and experience convinced me it's not necessary-- an unexpected benefit was when I stopped adding salt with water changes I stopped seeing flashing after water changes.
Yes, that was my point, really, not to question your water quality, but that flashing isn't always parasites.Hi well my water is crystal clear so is mu substrate filters etc i only see this after he eats actually as i said earlier he only eats shrimp etc maybe its his trick to cut them in or idk maybe to digest them? or i heard that it may be cause of stress i dont want to apply medication right away
