Looks like a GT cept theres no Orange in the tail... so the only thing it can be is the Blue Acara. The BA's name never made sense to me. Much like BA on the A team.

totally off-topic, but BA on the A-Team was supposed to stand for "Bad-Ass", but they couldn't get that past network standards-and-practices

Thanks guys! I was pretty sure it was a Blue Acara, but seriously second guessed myself when everyone said it wasn't :). Glad he is still a Blue Acara :). I am very happy with his temperament (peaceful but not shy at all) and he is one of the prettier ones I've seen.

Edited to add, my plants are plastic so he can uproot whatever he pleases.

If ur tank is big enough maybe u could add a green terror. I always have a bigger fish wish list then tanks to house them in!!! So I just keep finding reasons to buy bigger and more tanks. LOL

Green Terror and Blue Acara will generally not do well together; they both tend to be aggressive towards conspecifics (i.e., similar species) . . .

since the GT will generally be both larger and more aggressive than the BA, you will likely end up with only the GT in the long run

unless it was a Male/Female situation, in which case they might get along

Can I take back the "peaceful" personality part? Argh...I am wondering if he is in fact a green terror x blue acara cross. He absolutely ripped my severum a new one last night. I turned on the light to find the severum in the corner and the acara just hitting him over and over. I fed them and they have settled down, but my severum is missing chunks from his fins, bite marks all over him, sigh. The severum is pushing 7 inches, the acara is maybe 3". I guess I'm going to go trade him in...damn, he's so pretty, I wish it had worked.
