I wouldnt put anything that will be too big. I have had tin foil barbs in with my Gts and had no problems. any small fast moving fish that schools.

you could try and add 1 male convict and some Schooling fish like giant danios.

if you must, try something that is tough but non-threatening, like a convict or a firemouth . . .
there are two reasons you can't do blue acara: 1) 55G is too small for the two of 'em; and 2) the GT will see it as a rival and harass it to death
