That is one gorgeous fish, makes me want to ditch my Africans and make the tank a SA tank.

I had Africans (Rift Lake) about a year ago in anothe tank, but IMO (others too) they just don't have the personallity as these guys (CA/SA). I love CA/SA and will always keep these bad boys in my tanks... you should give it a go??
 
Hey jiant, great looking GT! I looked through your album pics too. Great looking tank! Two questions for ya. What size aquarium is it? And is that black gravel or sand? You have a great stocklist of fish. Wish I had room for all those bad boys.
 
Nice looking Gold Saum. One of my favorite fish. After my big boy passed away (9 yrs old) I had to get another so im doing the waiting game again for growth. Still worth the wait. They can be impressive once adults.

They are slow when compared to Oscars and Jags, but Ive seen my girl grow over the past few months. She has gone from 2.5" in Dec. to almost pushing 6" now. While my Jag, who was near 2" at the beginning of March, is now nearing the 5" mark. Ive learned that keeping up with the water changes and feeding them a good diet allows them to grow at optimum speed.
 
Thats good growth rate. My first one i had grew about a 1/4 inch a month and the one i have now been growing about 1/2 inch month.
