Hey jiant, great looking GT! I looked through your album pics too. Great looking tank! Two questions for ya. What size aquarium is it? And is that black gravel or sand? You have a great stocklist of fish. Wish I had room for all those bad boys.

Thanks and it is a 265g with black sand... I'm not too sure if I like the black sand though.

Nice looking Gold Saum. One of my favorite fish. After my big boy passed away (9 yrs old) I had to get another so im doing the waiting game again for growth. Still worth the wait. They can be impressive once adults.

I agree 100%, thanks.

Nice! What are the rough dimensions of it? I hope one day to get an 8 footer of some kind. Like a 220 or 240. Like 2 x 2 x 8. YEAH! Probably will do something similar to your stocklist when/if the day comes. Far as the sand, I just set up my red devil's 90 gallon with black sand and I love it. I think it makes the colors really pop out more on the fish. Just my preference. Thanks for the info jiant!

The tank is 7'x2'x2.5'... 2.5' high. The black sand makes some fish better, but not all as you will find out. My Carpintis and Trimacs look way better in my other tank as they are too dark with the black sand & back ground. Now, my Festae, GT and RD's look outstanding.

I would think the carpintis would totally pop on black. I have seen a few dempseys on black sand or gravel and with all the pearling they really stand out against it. But I can see how some wont too. Looks good to me man!

Thank you and my Escondido looks great on black sand, but the classic Carpintis, IMO, looks better in my other tank.

Nice GT you got there mate!

The last few I have seen from petsmart have been straight up deformed looking... Pretty funky little things.
