Green Texas? or something else

i got this at a LFS a few months ago and they labeled him as a green texas, now that he is getting bigger, i think its something else, can anyone please help me out

hmm interesting, i have a green tex and yours doesn't look like one. it looks almost like it is a cross between a regular green tex and a carpintis tex. interesting, post more pics when its bigger

looks hybrid, def has some tex.
i'd keep it though and find out what you have once it's big.
it's a pretty ass fish none the less.

yeh you can see the big black bloches (flowers) on his sides which indicate a hybrid.

i was just thinking, flowerhorns are a cross between a midas and a texas right?

could it be a cross between a barred midas and a texas?
