yeah same, my buddy got a nice male gtex w/o knowing anything about cichlids, put it in w/ his odoe pikes and bichirs... now all his Odoes have bent jaws from bashing the sides running away from the tex so im trading him my 4 bar dat later for it. Just gotta setup a seperate area for the fem festae and male gtex.

Awesome combo, the texas in your buddies tank looks a little stresed though, maybe the pic was taken after a water change.

It was taken right after he was acclimated so thats understandable, his tank is very bright, the white sand combined w/ the white wall behind and the bright lights he uses has washed it out pretty good
