what should i do then? if my cat fish act wierd. take out water, then how should i treat the ich?

I'm betting your catfish won't really care about the salt. Very few species really do mind a little salt. But if you notice very odd behavior, first tell us what it is, and if it seems like it could be related to the salt, then you'd do some water changes to remove the salt and i'd probably just treat the tank with coppersafe and be done with it.

well my catfhis (whose type i dont quite know) always hides none the less, and he's been hiding in a stump all day, which isnt completly abnormal for him.
when i first got my pictus cat, he would swim up and downthe side of the tank, all the way to the bottom then top and again.
he is still doing that now, so nothin has really changed there....
is this normal for either?

o the pictus will take breaks and swim around the tank sometimes too....

I thought you were doing an ich medicine as well. Salt is only one of the options to treat it. If not there are a lot of medicines.

i have a mdicine but id rather not use it. id rather do it the natural way instead of putting cems. in my tank.
I have never had a salt and fish issue. I also havent had ich and catfish. I just put that there just so that you would know. Natural is a nice way to do it if you can, raise temp and salt. I use medicines in the past to deal with ich.
