Grey bichirs in community tank

My first post: Do u guys think it would be a good idea to have a grey bichir in my community tank with all the fish being larger than 3 inches along with discus

Welcome aboard
I wouldn't put them in with Discus because the Senegal Bichir are active at night so your Discus may become stressed from that.

I know that they are active at night but I still have other nocturnal fish that are active at night and the discus don’t really show signs of stress and I’m a night owl so I always watch the fish at night and another question if the Bichir doesn’t work out in the community do u think it would work in another tank I have with an arowana and parrot cichlids

The aro is still small maybe around 6 inches and I wanna introduce fish that can go with it while it’s still small and grow up together

Maybe growing them out together but in the long run the aro will probably eat the bichir as they are very slender even a 20 inch aro could eat a ten inch bichir if you want a bichir maybe go with a endlicheri
