how healthy is tank fish compared to wild caught or farm raised? I would think its not much worse then farmed fish. The positive is you know what you feed your fish and how healthy they are. Garlic extract can kill any parasites. I always joke about eating a fish that outgrows a tank but why couldn't it be done?

Sounds interesting. I too, have heard a lot of good things about certain characins as food (Pacu, Dorado, Flagtail, and Brycon as some examples). Sounds like a cook-out worth doing.

I have eaten pacu beforeTheir flesh is really flavorful.. Much better than tilipia imo. People that flame for this need to grow up and accept the fact that fish are food.
