Ted keeps the tank at about 75-76 degrees.

Well last night the temp outside was 49 degrees. It gets colder in the winter.
Heating in the winter isn't that bad. That tank is insulated to the max.

I believe Ted is only running 2300Watts for his 8000G 24//7. heck I have 600Watts already running just for my 250G
 
Damm I have more heaters than ted does running two ponds off of one system but of course mine doesnt have insulated 2x12 walls

and del I thought you were about educating people not bashing them, I wasnt trying to bash you just state an honest opinion and yes del said I could take his aro just so she was in a bigger home but the logistics would have been a nightmare on both us and the fish

i have an big ego, it gets out of hand sometimes if anyone couldnt tell aleady.

Geez Jed!! I can't imagine paying for all those heaters!! Crazy electric bill! I think my three 400watts is bad enough!
