It is a double edged sword unfortunately. If a fish store only sold fish to responsible owners, who kept them for 10 yrs they would not sell many. Most stores would probably just get out of the business, and it would be very difficult and costly for anyone to get large species fish.I don't necessarily like it, but I do like a well stocked fish store.

I suggest not adding a Senegal Bichir Oscar will outgrow it. The Silver Dollar's will be fine. The lucky Bamboo probably will be rearranged by the Oscar.
Because Oscars grow an inch per month upwards, and Senegal bichirs grow much slower than that. If you get an adult bichir it would probably be fine, but if you get small bichir and small Oscar, Oscar will probably grow fast enough to eat bichir before too long.
I would cut the number of SD's down to 5.
You would be heavily stocked once they are adults, have to do at least 50% WC every week. But I think you could get away with it, if you wanted.
Buying Senegal later, would only be a good idea if you were to buy an adult Senegal. Otherwise I would get the Senegal, let it grow, then get the O. But it'll take a year or two for your Senegal to get full size. Buying an adult might be a better idea.
