has anyone out there grown ntt's from babies to a large size? if so do you guys have any tips or suggestions? thanks for the help

Raised an NTT from 1" to about 3.5" now. Just keep water clean, quarantine feeders before feeding (if you feed them). Try to give it varied diet, it's good if you can get it to eat pellets. Watch for gill flukes, if you see them treat with medication with copper.

Got mine from 2.5 inches to 9" and the growth rate slows down. They actually grow fast with feeders but make sure it quarantine. Prawns also help.

How long it did it take to get to 9"?

dooo you guys hav any tips...i just bought two and lost one again within 4 hrs. the other is still alive...

i lost 2 of mine @ 1 inch. my water is crystal clear with daily dose of food and touch love and care still commited suicide.

really frustrating man...so is it just luck then? will some just be stronger than others?

Why don't you just listen to my advice and add corals to your tank? Those who have been keeping thin bars for a long time mentioned above are in a different country, their water quality is different from ours. The longest thin bars I have kept are over two years and I had corals as decoration, but they turned out lived longer than the rest of other ones I have had, so through luck I found out how to keep them successfully through hard water.
